We often assume we have only two options. Either God ordains/permits everything that comes to pass, and we simply have to accept that fact, or there are some things that happen even though God does not want them to. There is at least one other option, and it is the one I argue for: God ordains/permits everything that comes to pass, but we don't simply have to accept that fact.
